Make An Electronic Bank Deposit from Kofax

Red Eagle Consulting's ICL Release for Kofax Capture is designed to give customers the option to generate an ICL file for bank deposits from their Kofax Capture process. Whether you are using Kofax Capture or Kofax Transformation Modules, the RECI ICL Release will allow you to generate the Check 21, or ICL, file for your bank deposit. By creating a Check 21 compliant ICL file from your Kofax process, you can now streamline your business practices to handle both the bank deposit and the AR Processing without a separate bank scanner or trip to the bank. Or, if you currently use lockbox processing, the RECI ICL Release gives you the flexibility to efficiently handle those checks that bypass the lockbox. Basic ICL Exporter Datasheet

Questions About Red Eagle Consulting's ICL/Check 21 Release

What ICL formats are supported? The RECI ICL Release supports both x9.37 and x9.100 formats.

Are banks required to use one of the standard formats for ICL files? Yes. Banks are required to adhere to the Check 21 Standard. However, individual banks have the ability to add custom requirements to the file. Therefore, each bank may have a slightly different format.

What if my bank makes a change to the file requirement? The RECI ICL Release provides the Kofax Administrator with the ability to modify the Check 21 output file through configuration options.

How is an ICL file different than the typical file released from Kofax? Typically, a release from Kofax includes data and images that are related, but are in separate files. The ICL format includes both data and images imbedded within the same file.

Can the RECI ICL Release handle multiple banks or accounts? Yes. The RECI ICL Release allows the Kofax Administrator to configure the use of multiple banks as well as multiple accounts within the same bank.

Has the RECI ICL Release been certified? Yes. The RECI ICL Release has been tested with two of the largest U.S. banks. Typically a bank will require the banking customer to run through standard testing in order to begin using ICL Check 21 deposits.
